G shock watches is a timepiece which is a part of casio brands. The watch was given the name because of its very high resistance to Shock. An example of a shock would be if the watch dropped or was exposed to high vibration. G shock watches are designed for extreme sports, the army and outoor activities. Some of the features of the gshock brand, are stopwatch, timer led light and is 50m waters resistant. Recently however casio g shocks have become more catering to an upmarket , with its price increasing steadily year on year since its existence in the 1980’s.
One of the first G-Shock was the DW5000C manufactured by an scientist and engineer who worked for Casio named which debuted in 1983. Each year casio would release just a few models a year.
In the10 90’s the g shock watch became increasingly more popular and by 1998 there were 19 million G-Shocks watches sold universally, which led to 200 models being released for that year.
